現在の太田研究の柱の一つが光イメージングです。より広く・深く・詳しく・速くといった従来通りの生命科学・医学のニーズに応える持続的な技術開発も好きですが、画像という情報の価値を改めて再考して従来科学の基盤を覆すような破壊的なコンセプト提案も目指しています。

Currently, the primary focus of my research is to develop novel optical imagers for life science and medicine. My research seeks to bring physics tradition of precise measurement to biology and tries to transform the concept of “image” through technological breakthroughs.
